How it works

How it works

Our mission is to promote multi-day bicycle trips to a wider audience. Whether we’re
touring the Ohio-to-Erie Bike Trail, or high-adventure touring in backcountry West
Virginia, when you join us for a multi-day bike adventure our goal is to make riding your
bike your only job. We are building upon the momentum in the local bike community by
making multi day cycling accessible to a broader audience, with a more wilderness
focus and smaller groups. Part of our vision is to provide our clients with high quality
gourmet meals with a mission to locally source all our produce, meat and dairy. Part of
increasing the tourism to more rural parts of Ohio and Michigan will increase awareness
of our local farm economy, and aim to support local organic farms with this endeavor.

Initially, Boombox productions supports two types of trips, a bike touring trip along
established bike pathways such as the Ohio to Erie Trail (OTET), and more adventurous
rustic bike adventures. In either case, the rider must supply their own bicycle and bike
gear, such as bike lights and bike lights. The riders must also supply their own camping
equipment such as tent and sleeping system. We will provide the riders with shuttle

service to the start of the ride, daily Supply-and-Gear (SAG) support, and we will shuttle
all your camping gear to the day’s destination. At camp we will provide food and
refreshments, and also have limited bike repair capabilities to handle most (but not all)
mechanical issues and also provide daily bike tune-ups for the next day.

 Supported High Adventure Bikepacking (Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia)
o Participants bring their own bikes/tents/camping equipment. Riders must
be fit to handle significant climbs (>300ft). Riders must provide their own
computer navigation, ideally Garmin, Wahoo or Hammerhead.
o We provide GPX routes for navigation. We will also provide Garmin
InReach unit for each group for emergency use.
o During the day’s ride, we will provide SAG van capable of addressing most
minor repairs, and checkpoint safety stops (if necessary), Our staff are
Red Cross certified first aid training
o Once at camp, we will provide all camp meals (morning and evening
meals), potable water and refreshments.
o We have a mission to provide gourmet meals with locally sourced
produce, meat and dairy. We endeavor to cater to vegans, vegetarians,
meat eaters, lactose intolerant, gluten-free.

We support two primary types of trips: bike touring trips along established bike pathways such as the Ohio to Erie Trail (OTET), Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) and C&O Trail, and more adventurous, remote, backcountry adventures. In all cases, riders must supply their own bicycle and bike gear, such as helmet, bike lights, and bike bags. Riders must also bring their own camping equipment such as a tent and sleeping system. We bring food, first aid gear, and detailed itineraries.

We provide all riders with shuttle service to the start of the ride, daily Supply-and-Gear (SAG) support, and can shuttle your camping gear to the day’s destination. At camp we will provide food and refreshments, and also have limited bike repair capabilities to handle most (but not all)
mechanical issues and also provide daily bike tune-ups for the next day.

We also provide shuttle-only services for the OTET.
